We are looking to hire a welder to support our shop and field based out of Cranbrook. This a FULL-TIME PERMANENT positions on a 4x3 Compressed work week schedule.
This position is responsible for a variety of welding related duties.
Job Description:
- Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled.
- Examine and diagnose machine defects, repair damage and cracks when necessary.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Fabricate parts.
- Maintain safe work practices.
Education & Experience:
- Journey Person Welder Technician Certification.
- CWB tickets will be considered an asset.
- Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines would be considered an asset.
Any other relevant training as required would be considered an asset such as:
- WHMIS
- H2S Alive
- Fall Protection
- Forklift
- Overhead Crane
- Eye, Hand and Back Safety
- Transportation of Dangerous goods
- Contamination control
Notes:
- This position is located at the Cranbrook branch working a 4x3 Compressed shift
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
