JOURNEYPERSON ELECTRICIAN

JOB SUMMARY
The position of Journeyperson Electrician, is a full-time position based in Barrie, Ontario reporting to the General Manager in Barrie. This person would be responsible for assisting customer's troubleshooting problems with existing equipment, modifying/upgrading of existing installations and installation of the new electrical equipment on new projects in Eastern Canada.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (to include but not limited to)
- Supervision of the electrical portion of Chair Lift Projects in Eastern Canada.
- Assist and troubleshoot customer’s problems on existing lift installations in Eastern Canada.
- Oversee the work done by seasonal or contracted electrical tradesmen and ensure that they perform duties properly and within the deadline set for the project.
- Assist the Electrical Department Supervisor with customer estimated costs that will be incurred during electrical installation, repair and maintenance.
- Work in a professional tradesman-like manner and ensure that trade best practices is followed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines while completing each project efficiently.
- Coordinate orders and equipment supply with company factory and external suppliers.
- Communicate between other departments within the company and to customer’s on all electrical project issues.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the installation and maintenance of AC and DC drive and PLC controls (Allen Bradley and ABB)
- Travel - Minimum of 50% (Average of 1 month at a time)
- English Proficiency
- Red Seal Certification
Wages starting at $32.00 an hour (depending on experience of candidate)
