triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc. is actively seeking a Job Developer to join our team at the Mississauga campus located inside Square One Mall.

Primary Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Job Developer role is to assist students and graduates in securing and sustaining employment, through communication and relationship building with employers. triOS international students will be placed in internships, co-ops, part-time and permanent jobs related to their field of study.

The primary duties of the Job Developer role will include identifying business opportunities, building and maintaining successful relationships with future, existing and past clients. The focus on job development will be three days a week and placement will be two days a week.

The Job Developer will support the vision, mission, and values of triOS College while contributing to a positive, supportive and student-focused team environment of respect, integrity, dedication and readiness, embracing diversity and fostering inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Outreach to Employers to identify opportunities in the job market and current recruitment needs.
• Responding to Hire-A-Grad internally and cross-operationally with triOS partners
• Maintain accurate and updated external organizational information in XCAS.
• Assist Program Coordinators and Employment Specialists in reviewing skills passbook performance feedback.
• Facilitate employer relationships to assist with work placements, including volunteer, co-op, internship placements, part-time and full-time employment opportunities.
• Working with the Employment Service Specialists to negotiate placement agreements and contracts with students and employers, including the identification of workplace training objectives and financial incentives securing relationships that result in Affiliation Agreement(s).
• Participate in community activities and job fairs, networks with community and employment.
• Maintain an active job bank on Devant.
• Assist students in identifying volunteer activities.
• Implement Peer Support on-campus buddy system for new students.
• Assist the Employment Specialists with tracking employment data and provides data based on student outcomes.
• Collaborate with marketing on providing social media updates securing student and employer testimonials monthly.
• Support the Employment Specialists with outreach and follow-up activities to graduates identified on the Horizon Report.
• Assist Employment Specialists with workshop facilitation including the development and delivery of future focus workshop specific to networking.
• Mapping of channels e.g., recruitment agencies, LinkedIn connections; hidden job market sources - with timeframes for outreach clearly defined.

Qualifications:

• Post Secondary Education/Job Developer Certificate is an asset.
• Minimum 2 years experience in job development, employer outreach, and/or recruitment.
• Varied and relevant work experience and knowledge of community resources, labour market and employment services.
• Candidates must be able to work with a culturally diverse population.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with employers, clients, and co-workers.
• Self-directed, results-oriented team player.
• Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• A valid Driver's license and a reliable vehicle is required.

Hours of Work:

This position is a permanent full-time opportunity. Hours of work will be 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
