IT Software Manager

The Sutherland Group is embarking on a digital transformation and is looking for an IT Software Manager to support our existing software infrastructure and help implement, customize and provide on-going support for new software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern software implementations, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem solving. They will be responsible for driving our IT software strategy in conjunction with the management team, and working closely with departments to ensure that our systems work seamlessly and help enable strong productivity. This position can be based in our offices in West Kelowna, Nelson or Salmo BC. We would also consider remote hybrid options for local candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consult with management and department heads on IT strategy including potential changes and upgrades to the organization's software systems
• Implement, customize and support new cloud-based ERP and other new systems
• First line resource for training and responding to questions on new software systems
• Configure new systems to enable data migration from existing legacy systems
• Manage APIs between internal and external systems
• Configure and manage dashboards from AWS QuickSight and other visualization tools
• Manage company websites in conjunction with Marketing department
• Ensure organization is secure against cyber threats and update cyber security as needed
• Provide software support and troubleshoot issues for employees both on site and remotely
• Collaborate with front end users on software functionality
• Resolve software deployment and integration errors, and document processes
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor performance metrics
• Collaborate with existing hardware-focused IT staff

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in IT including implementing new software systems at similar sized organizations
• Experience with ERP implementations and support is an asset
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based systems and services
• Experience managing migration from legacy on-premise systems
• Ability to lead software implementation projects
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Amazon QuickSight or Microsoft Power BI
• Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems
• Experience of connecting various software systems using APIs
• Programming knowledge is an asset
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and communication skills
• Strong Communication skills
