Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
Offering a full range of investment and insurance products. Investment Advisors use the tools provided by CIBC Wood Gundy to research investment products, allowing them to make investment recommendations to prospects and clients. Investment Advisors are expected to build and maintain their own portfolio of high net worth clients through various prospecting methods, i.e., telemarketing, networking, seminars, trade shows and various other sales and marketing tools/methods.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Client Service- Attract and develop a consistent client base. Using extensive knowledge of investment products and services, prospect and identify individual client needs and opportunities. Analyze information/trends and apply it to individual client circumstances. Possess excellent time management and organization skills to meet multiple/tight deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Relationship Building- Display high levels of interpersonal and relationship building skills in order to effectively network, prospect and build strong, positive and trusting client relationships. Nurture relationships with existing clients that would promote the natural referral of associates, friends and family members.
  • Sales & Marketing-Demonstrate well-developed, interactive presentation skills to convey both factual and conceptual ideas to clients. Developed writing skills to prepare proposals and presentation/seminar material.

Who You Are
  • You’re a certified professional. You are currently registered as a Registered Representative with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC). You have current accreditation and good standing Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practice Handbook (CPH).
