Deutsche Bahn International Operations and Aecon Concessions have formed a partnership to operate and maintain the Regional Express Rail (RER) network in the Greater Hamilton and Toronto Area (GHTA), Canada.

The partnership will be called ONxpress Operations Inc and the combined experience and capability of the ONxpress partnership enable us to bring the international experience of designing, constructing, and operating rapid transit solutions in high-density population and urbanization locations.

This brownfield project will significantly enhance the service delivery proposition for riders across Toronto and surrounding areas and will ensure a long-lasting sustainable economic, environmental, and lifestyle contribute to its current and longer-term societal needs. For the Fixed Asset Maintenance department in Toronto, we are looking for experienced candidates to join us as Inventory & Warehouse Commissioner. This role will report directly to Senior Manager Fixed Asset Planning & Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Hold accountability for all assigned tasks related to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts, communicating inventory stockouts, etc.
  • Provide the operations&maintenance (O&M) interface function to consortium partners and Contracting Authority for all maintenance-related fixed asset inventory and spare parts topics.
  • Ensure timely submission of Development Phase O&M deliverables
  • Build collaborative relationships with the Contracting Authority and establish a communication framework to support the ongoing sharing of information between the O&M workstreams.
  • Provide leadership and direction for logistics operations, inventory management and replenishment, and other responsibilities as may be defined.
  • Works on “stock on hand” shortages and “wrong product shipped” claims to correct possible stocking errors.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding products and inventories

Requirements:

  • Bachelor‘s degree or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing, supply chain, logistics, or similar.
  • General understanding of the principles and mechanisms of railway maintenance works and the interfaces to Train Service Planning and Operations
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license; must be forklift certified and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Proficiency in MS Office: Microsoft Windows, strong Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office Applications, strong Microsoft Excel, and strong data entry skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to meet established schedules.
  • Collaboration, partnership building, relationship management, and negotiation skills
  • Detail orientation and self-starter mentality
  • A demonstrated knowledge of computerized inventory control, inventory management, and general warehousing terminology and practices.
  • Interpersonal and oral/written/presentation communication skills
  • Good English skills (oral/written)
