About the Job:
Activo is looking to hire full time summer students as well as experience Intermediate\Senior cable technicians in the Greater Toronto Area.
Intermediate\Senior cabling technicians will have 3 – 5 years of proven experience installing, terminating and testing a variety of copper and fiber optic cabling types
All Technicians must be willing to be able work days, evenings, weekends and travel as required based on the various projects at the time.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints,
- Working at heights or in confined spaces,
- Follow daily task completion requirements
- Technicians Owned Tools/Equipment:
- Safety PPE Required: Green Patch Steel-Toed Safety Boots, Approved Hard Hat, High Visibility Attire, Safety Glasses/Goggles
- Must comply with Strict Safety Policy
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Indoor and at heights.
- Fast-paced environment.
- Tight deadlines.
- Physically demanding.
- Attention to detail.
- Work Activities with be combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling.

Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License Record required
- Criminal Record Check Required
- WHMIS Certificate Required
- Working at Heights Certificate Required
- Occupational Health and Safety Act Safety 4 Steps Worker Health & Safety Awareness Certificate Required
- Other Provincially Mandated Safety courses would be an asset
- Experience installing AP’s, Network Hardware would be an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
