Sensity is looking for a Summer Student (on a contract until September 2, 2023) who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping others to work at our Head Office location in beautiful Paris, ON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of human resources tasks. Prior experience in a Human Resources role is an asset, however we are happy to support new candidates who are looking to pursue their future career goal in the area of Human Resources Management.

Some of the activities you could be involved in include:

• Support with recruitment - review resumes, perform telephone, virtual or in-person interviews of external candidates.
• Help schedule interviews for job candidates with hiring managers or interviewers.
• Manage job candidate tracking database.
• Help translate and deliver communications for internal or external customers.
• Assist in with the day-to-day efficient operation for the HR Department.
• Data entry for HR databases or spreadsheets.
• Record keeping and maintaining employee records and files.
• Assist with the on-boarding of new employees; preparation of new hire documents, setting up training, background and reference checks.
• Assist in other administrative functions - updating spreadsheets, answering phone calls, booking meeting rooms and setting up Zoom/Teams meetings.
• Supporting with projects, special events or job fairs.
• Other tasks relating to HR projects.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in full time studies, Human Resources or Business Administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams/Zoom).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member.
• Effective HR administration and people management skills.
• Understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions.
