Job Description
Secondary Humanities Teacher
2023-24 School Year
St. Andrews School is hiring a probationary teacher in the areas of Secondary Humanities in the 7-12 Junior and Senior High teaching areas. Teaching subjects include Language Arts, Social Studies and may include other courses within the candidates skill set.
The positions are starting August 29, 2023 for the 2023-24 school year with the possibility of extension and continuous contract if the candidate is successful.
The successful candidate ideally will have a background and understanding of subjects related to Social Studies, Language Arts and be flexible, support working with First Nation, Metis & Inuit students, and support the social and emotional development of children. The successful candidate requires proficiency in the use of educational technology, an understanding of assessment for learning, and being eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta.
The candidate must be willing to be working in a rural Catholic community environment and is a team player willing to collaborate, communicate and work together. HFCRD #37 division is actively recruiting teachers for upcoming positions and welcomes new graduates to apply. Preference will be given to candidates of the Catholic faith.
