Applicants should have:

• Experience with Cat and or Komatsu/Deere/Hitachi Equipment
• Ability to work independently
• Journeyman or Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician - Off Road and/or On Road
• Good Problem Solving Skills
• Valid drivers license – abstract required
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• 2 to 3 years experience work on Heavy Duty Off Road Equipment
• Potential employee’s to need valid Off road equipment ticket from their province, if not in possession of Red seal, or AB Off Road ticket; be willing to challenge AB exam and/or Red seal within 6 months

Job Duties to Include:

• Running repair on off road heavy trucks, heavy construction equipment, diesel and diesel electric mining machinery
• Repairs on bulldozers, graders, dump truck and excavators
• Will require ability to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, determine extent of repair required, adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Instruct apprentices, keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Job role will include being in the field and working in our shop in NW Edmonton

Pay Structure:

• Industry competitive wages, and above
• o $36/hr to $53/hr – Depending on Experience and if in the Field or Shop
• Overtime at time and half - paid after 8 hours/day
• Nightshift premium
• When in the field, Hotels/Condo are paid, travel time paid, as well living out allowance
• Headwater will assist with relocation costs if needed
• This is a permanent full time position

Other Requirements:

• Pre employment Medical exam
• Some sites we travel to require you pass a drug screen

Shift Structures:

• Guaranteed minimum of 44 Hrs/week – Overtime available and paid at time and a half
• Shift Structure varies with our different locations we work at –please contact us and we can give a run down of what you could expect and see if we have a shift rotation that can work for you.

Locations:

• We are looking for mechanics to ideally be based out of the Edmonton area
• We are also hiring for a field technician to be based out of the Lethbridge area
• Our mechanics must be willing to travel to remote job sites, travel time, accommodations, and living out allowance paid for trave
• Locations include Sparwood BC, Edmonton AB, Southern AB - Remote work locations include Northern AB, Southern SK and Manitoba
• Our new Edmonton branch is at 18014 - 111 Ave NW Edmonton
• Our main shop is at 5-92041 River Ridge Road, Coalhurst AB (5 KM West of Lethbridge)

A bit about Headwater

We are a Heavy Equipment Sales and Service company, we refurbish and repair late model Cat/Deere/Hitachi heavy construction equipment. We are also a Sany America, Terex Trucks dealer, as well as a Cummins and Isuzu Certified repair center. (Dealer training is available for technicians interested) Headwater runs a very clean modern shop with separate Welding, Washing and Paint bays. We are a family run business that believes its employees are its greatest asset, we do all we can to ensure our employees are satisfied with their position within our company.

We run a fleet of late model 3 and 5 Ton service trucks – our trucks are top of the line, and we run only 1 man per truck.
