About the Opportunity:

NCCHD is currently seeking Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanics / Technicians for our Saskatoon, Saskatchewan location.

This position is part of our busy Service and Installation Shop and responsible for:

• Performing maintenance, repairs and testing on our customers’ various types of equipment focusing on truck-mounted cranes and a variety of municipal and rail equipment
• Completing some minor fabrication work
• Performing other duties as required
• At least 2-3 years previous related experience with heavy equipment or proven mechanical abilities

• Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic, we will accept apprentice applications
• Some experience with welding or willingness to asset or learn
• hydraulic and electrical experience and knowledge
• Solid mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot problems and read schematics
• The ability to maneuver in and around heavy equipment
• Excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
• The ability to work independently
• Your own tools (we also have shop tools)
• A Class 5 driver’s license
• Able to work independently
• Our operating hours are 8:00am-4:30pm. Service truck work and field work required sometimes.
