Job description

1 Hour Signs has an immediate opening for an experienced, fun, energetic, independent, self-motivated, full-time Graphic Designer/Production Artist for a fast-paced, high-quality production environment. The candidate will be responsible for the creation of effective, high impact designs that provide our clients with the right communications or (Branding) solutions to promote their businesses.

The successful candidate must be able to prepare artwork for client approval and production files for digital and cutting equipment. They are also periodically responsible for the physical construction and assembling of signs from computer cut vinyl and wide format full color prints as well as sign assembly, preparation of substrates, and lamination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create all types of signage

• Ability to visualize and understand the practicality of design and how signage materials work together.

• Reviewing project specification details and clearly interpreting client needs.

• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

• Print production management and work flow in Sign Tracker software

• Answer phones and assist with walk in orders.

• Follow up with clients as needed.

• Manage emails and email orders

• Knowing the materials that work well together

• Maintaining an understanding of our sign fabrication process, materials.

• Tracking your time and challenging yourself to add as much value for time billed to client.

• Staying on task and working towards meeting deadline requirements for successful project completion.

• Preparing files for production.

• Ability to run Computer Cutters, Laminator, and other equipment (training to be provided)

• Maintain clean artwork files/folders, and accurate customer database.

• Ability to stay calm under pressure and quickly problem solve

• Ability to handle feedback and adapt as needed.

• Truly being proud of the work you do.

Requirements:

Knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat & Flexi Sign

Knowledge / Experience in 3-D object design for Vehicle Graphics and Wraps is an asset

Experience: Graphic Design and Sign Production: 2 years

Education: Diploma/Certificate in Graphic Design and or Industrial Design

Salary is based on past experience and negotiated at time of job offer.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to $45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

• Commission pay
