The Corporate Information Services (CIS) team is seeking candidates for the following role based in Toronto. This role will primarily support the Global Security group at Marsh McLennan but there is possibility of the role extending to support other corporate groups in the future. The Global Security group is responsible for the applications and devices used to access and monitor Marsh McLennan office facilities globally including sensitive server room locations. Some of these applications and appliances include access card readers, network video recorders, electronic security doors, turnstiles, and the like.

  • Collaborate across MMC Tech teams and function teams to onboard all Global Security applications, software, and tools to MMC Technical standards. This includes capturing a full inventory of technical tools being used by the Global Security teams, making sure each tool and vendor is assessed including Information Security and Privacy assessments and making sure all technical tools within the application is up to date and remediated from vulnerabilities.
  • Manage the onboarding project throughout the lifecycle, escalate risks and issues to CIS management.
  • Implement Standard Operating Procedures for the Global Security business following CIS standards.
  • Coordinate technical activities between MMC Tech teams, Global Security business teams and vendors as required.

We will count on you to:

  • Establish strong partnership with business product leader and work closely with them to define an overall development and implementation strategy for the suite of applications used by the operations team
  • Conducts stakeholder research for business innovation
  • Assists with product design and encourages ease of use
  • Drives applications development in support of best practice data management and production processes
  • Identifies new technologies and integrates into existing solutions to expand capabilities and separate from competitors
  • Consults with Business product leaders to develop and communicate product roadmaps
  • Directs the identification of gaps between current-state technology architecture and reference (target) architecture
  • Translate functional business requirements into a technical solution
  • Document technical requirements, including business logic and key metrics
  • Manage project plans and see them through the full project lifecycle
  • Track key project tasks, including technical development items and key milestones with the business
  • Identify key risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact the project
  • Work closely with the technical teams to manage scope and timelines
  • Coordinate and participate in testing with the various MMC Tech teams to identify key test cases and success criteria
  • Onboard corporate applications through our tech onboarding assessment process including making sure the applications are properly registered
  • Day-to-day vendor and system management for technical tools including management of upgrades, troubleshooting of bugs, user support, security, and access management
  • Create and manage change order requests for application changes or issues.
  • Liaise with development and infrastructure teams on the delivery and maintenance of integrations, API's etc.
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures

  • A keen work ethic
  • Organized and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong ability to gather requirements for use cases and collaborate to define project scope
  • Prior experience working in a technical development environment required
  • Prior experience supporting applications within a technical team and working with various technical roles required
  • Experience with SQL databases, and advanced Excel functions is required
  • Experience managing deliverables end-to-end
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Teams
  • Experience supporting global applications
  • Relevant education and or certification
