POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The permanent teaching assignment will commence September 5, 2023.

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: •
Permanent Manitoba Teaching Certificate •
Bachelor of Physical Education or a Bachelor of Kinesiology (a teachable or minor in these areas may be considered) •
Knowledge in using assessment, evaluation, and reporting as an integral part of the teaching process to support and

enhance learning •
Ability to coordinate, and a passion for intramural, co-curricular, and extra-curricular programming •
Champion physical activity as part of a healthy active lifestyle •
Knowledge and understanding of the relevant area(s) of the Manitoba Physical Education and Health Education

curriculum •
Proficiency in facilitating programing that ensures student’s deeper learning through:

o Knowledge and application of Manitoba Education curriculum
o Design of instructional and assessment practices that engage student learning
o Application of Indigenous teachings and perspectives
o Knowledge, understanding and application of inclusive pedagogy •

Proven history of integrating technology into class lessons that supports student engagement and learning •
Understanding and implementation of blended learning preferred •
Excellent verbal and written skills in both official languages (English and French) is preferred
