Open since November 2020, we are fortunate to have been embraced with love by our Harrison Hot Springs, Agassiz, and surrounding communities. We are local, from our aptly named Taco Rio, with “Rio” meaning river, and referring to the Miami River that flows behind us, sourcing fresh, local ingredients, and the blue river that runs through in the decor of our restaurant. We specialize in Westcoast-inspired Mexican cuisine, only producing the best quality of food, drinks, and service. Taco Rio is open 7 days a week. We serve breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and drinks. Street parking is available. If you love Mexican food, fun vibes and cool people, this is your place!

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• provide excellent customer service by greeting, presenting menus, making recommendations and describing menu items, and answering questions in regards to food or drinks over the phone

• taking and packing orders for take-out, relaying guests' preferences and needs to kitchen with accuracy

• accepting payment through credit or debit cards

• guiding guests to tables, busing and cleaning tables, rolling cutlery, creating customer wait list

• exceeding customer expectations in a fast-paced environment and being attentive to guests' needs

• able to attend work reliably
• perform any and all other job related tasks assigned by management including: stocking up inventory, cleaning, sweeping, mopping, stamping bags, washing dishes (if needed), etc.

Skills, knowledge, experience, and qualifications:

• previous experience with 'touch screens' systems preferred

• able to safely lift equipment of awkward size and to a weight of 25 pounds

• proven ability to quickly and accurately handle and balance cash, credit and debit cards

• previous experience in up-selling and suggestive selling preferred

• previous experience as a team player

• ability to multi-task and take direction well required

• reliable attendance record required

• proven organizational skills required

• flexible to a changing schedule
