Located in the Southern Athabasca region, MEG’s Christina Lake Project is a multi-phased project approximately 150 kilometers South of Fort McMurray in Northeast Alberta. Comprised of approximately 200 square kilometers of leases, this SAGD operation currently has regulatory approvals in place to produce approximately 210,000 bpd. All workers will be staying at the state-of-the-art Poplar Ridge Lodge, which boasts a gym, rec area, commissary, laundry facility, Wi-Fi, cable, custom sandwiches, as well as full breakfasts and dinners. We have an amazing, experienced site team at MEG Energy who have safety and efficient work practices at the top of mind.

Jardeg is Recruiting Excavator Operators with experience working Pipeline handler attachment with the MEG Energy Pipeline Projects team on site near Conklin, Alberta. These are full-time/long term positions on either an 8/6 or 21/7 rotation. This is a drive-in / drive-out site only and travel allowance will be provided.

Effective October 3rd, 2022 – Operators at MEG Energy will receive a $4/hr incentive on top of the base hourly wage paid on all hours worked (regular and overtime).

The Equipment Operator performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment and trucks. Responsible for understanding and following all operating policy and procedures while operating equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Receives written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.
• Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.
• Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
• Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.
• Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment

Requirements:

• 3 or more years of related experience operating an excavator with +1 years of pipeline handler attachment
• First Aid
• Fall Protection
• CSTS
• H2S Alive
• Mask Fit
