WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

EVENT SECURITY

At Tennis Canada, the security team is composed of professional guards with wealth of experience in the security industry. We pride ourselves in a customer service approach to our clients and patrons. The ability to work collaboratively within the team and with external partners enables us to provide exceptional service. Throughout the year, there are a variety of events that we take part here at Sobeys Stadium, such as York University Exams (April and December), York Convocation (June and October), National Bank Open (early August), Concerts and additional ad hoc events. You will report to the Manager, Security and Safety. Your key responsibilities are:

• Carrying out security duties that include the protection of people, property, information, and crowd management.
• Providing excellent customer service to visitors and guests.
• Collecting data and writing incident reports and forwarding information to appropriate personnel.
• Enforcing laws and regulations that apply onsite.
• Responding to emergency situations in a professional manner.

WHO YOU ARE

• Valid Ontario Security license.
• Required to be First Aid & CPR (Level C) and SmartServe certified.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
• Professionalism: customer service is a priority.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Leadership skills: ability to delegate and empower effectively.
• Ethical decision making and detail oriented.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Shifts are scheduled on per event based and may require evening, weekend and extended hours during events.
