Beacon Lite is seeking candidates for its Electronics division. The Position:

The Electronics Technicians’ main responsibility is to set up, repair, and provide maintenance of electronic systems and equipment such as message boards and arrow boards.


Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and program electronic systems, devices, and equipment (training will be provided)
  • Monitors and reports on project progress and/or electronic challenges
  • Discusses assembly procedures and problems with the Manager, Electronics, and draws sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units
  • Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
  • Tests equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of prototype or production model
  • Be able to perform light maintenance - changing a flat tire, light etc (training will be provided)
  • Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, repairs, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance
  • Assembles and connects system components
  • Analyzes and interprets test data

Qualifications:

  • G Class Driver’s license
  • Ability to drive (tow) with trailers of all sizes including tandem trailers
  • Clean driver’s abstract
  • Construction/road experience preferred
  • Ability to comply with all company policies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use sound judgment
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions
  • Previous experience as an electronic technician or similar role
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations of Book 7 (training can be provided)
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing and circuitry
  • Familiarity working with various tools and equipment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
