Immediate opportunity for a dog lover in our dog daycare as a dog daycare attendant.

We are a boutique dog daycare center located in the heart of Stouffville. We have been offering exceptional daytime care, family dog training and dog walking for Stouffville's dogs for over 20 years amazing years! We are seeking an extraordinary candidate to join our team. We are offering 25+ hours per week to start, more hours available once training has been completed.

The daycare attendant position requires:

• working hands-on in the dog daycare managing dogs off-leash in a group setting
• being comfortable with many types of dog breeds and sizes of dogs
• the ability to multi-task
• love cleaning including tidying, mopping, hosing, raking, cleaning food bowls and dishes and organizing (maintaining the cleanliness standard of our daycare is a priority)
• a love for working outdoors in any and all types of weather
• be able to complete minimal administrative tasks such as assisting customers, cash handling, and scheduling clients
• taking initiative with daily tasks
• proven record of being punctual, dependable and reliable
• must be flexible for shifts
• permanent, part-time position, shifts are daily between 7am - 6:30pm, Monday - Friday (this is not a summer position)

The ideal candidate for this position includes:

• having a passion for dogs
• being at least 18 years old and a secondary school graduate
• being fit and active
• able to stand for long periods of time
• patient, reliable, dependable
• customer service oriented and a team player
• experience working with dogs in a professional setting is preferred
• knowledge of dog breeds and dog behaviour would be an asset
• punctuality is a must as we work with live animals
• a valid driver's license is required and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis
• able to follow instructions clearly and lead by example
• must be bondable

This position is an excellent opportunity to learn and interact with dogs of all ages. Hourly rate will be negotiated according to knowledge and experience working with dogs. We will gladly train the right candidate. (owning a personal dog is not considered experience).
