The Role

As a Dispatch Support, you are primarily responsible for organizing daily dispatch for various job sites, working in compliance with all legal and safety requirements regarding the safe control of traffic and flagging personnel. Additionally, this position is responsible for administrative duties and any other tasks assigned by the General Manager to support the functions of business operations.

What you will do:

• Answer and respond to phone and email correspondence
• Follow up with client if Dispatch Coordinator needs more details
• Provide support for multiple traffic brands

• Coordinate rental equipment with Rentals Department
• Coordinate drop off and pick up of AFADs with Rentals Department
• Coordinate with client to receive the Traffic Management Plan (TMP)
• Coordinate non-supply cancellations (when occurs same day)
• Track and coordinate waitlist
• In customer job number add Premiums, Rentals, and Traffic Management Plan (TMP)
• Support After Hours Dispatchers, as required

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Traffic Management Plans and the Traffic Control Manual for Work on Roadways developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
• Knowledge of Google Workspace Applications; Gmail, Docs, and Sheets
• Professional telephone skills and mannerisms
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight time constraints
• Dependability and available for flexible working hours
• Previous dispatching experience is considered an asset
