Delivery Driver - Class 1 Job at HOME HARDWARE STORES LIMITED
We are looking to add an experienced and responsible candidate for our growing warehouse and delivery team, and to help build our locally owned and operated business.
The right candidate would be a hard working individual who is physically fit, enjoys teamwork, provides excellent customer service, and willingness to continually develop professional skills and knowledge base. The driver/delivery person is responsible for delivering products and/or supplies to customers, vendors, jobsites, or other corporate locations.
A Class 1 License is a requirement for this position but a class 3 with airbrakes is acceptable as well.
Job duties would include but are not limited to:
- Operating freight handling equipment.
- Maintenance and operation of company vehicles.
- Perform light vehicle maintenance (check oil, etc.)
- Verification of administrative paperwork.
- Assist customers in handling large or heavy items.
- Take all necessary safety precautions when handling freight, tools, and equipment.
- Follow company procedures regarding required signatures, forms, receipts, etc.
- Yard and Warehouse Duties
- Work on additional duties and assignments as assigned by management.
- Must maintain a good driving record and lawfully operate all company vehicles used to make deliveries.
