Custom manufactured products cover a wide range of industrial and consumer products. Examples of industrial products that are typically custom manufactured include military devices, aerospace components, medical devices, and architectural elements. Examples of consumer products include high end furniture and home furnishings. In essence, custom manufacturing is crucial for anyone who requires a unique specification that cannot be fulfilled by off-the-shelf products or components.

LOCATION:
NORTH TORONTO AREA.

THE EMPLOYER:
Our client is a manufacturer of residential furniture sold all across Canada and the US. Work on-site in a pleasant and professional environment for a firm that recognizes and appreciates your contribution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
These positions are part of a Customer Service team of 10 Customer Service Representatives (CSRs). No selling is involved in the CSR role.

The CSRs are to be responsible for assisting retailers who distribute the manufacturer’s products. Communication is carried on over the phone and also online. The main task of the CSR is to ensure that orders are fulfilled properly and within required time frames. (Consumers order the furniture from the retailer, who then transmits the order to the manufacturer, who then manufactures the product and ships it to the retailer or to the consumer). CSRs are also responsible for responding to other customer service inquiries as needed (repairs, warranties, general information, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:
Successful experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company who makes products to order for the retail industry (for example - furniture, fixtures, decoration, etc.). Specifically, this role requires:

Very strong demonstrated customer service skills.

Good computer utilization skills, including experience with EDI.

Personable and professional on the phone; willing to work in a fast paced office.

Lives nearby and able to work at the employer’s site.

Has a car to commute to and from the Vaughan office.

Fluently in the English language (easy to understand).
