POSITION OVERVIEW

Fifth Avenue is currently recruiting for a full-time Contract Auditor to join our Surrey-based Shared Services team. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary and extended benefits. We are looking for an experienced, collaborative, technically and technology advanced Contract Auditor with a keen eye for detail. This individual will provide transactional and contract audit services to Fifth Avenue and its strategic partners, BakerWest Real Estate, Epic Real Estate Solutions, and Island Realm Real Estate.

This role will work within the Audits Team to ensure the brokerage and its agents adhere to all company best practices, policies, and procedures relating to presale and resale real estate transactions. The Contract Auditor will report to the Director of Audits and Compliance, while working closely with Conveyance and other Shared Services Teams.

The responsibilities of the Contract Auditor include, but are not limited to:

  • Advising agents in contracts and sales transactions
  • Ongoing review of company sales and contract policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date, relevant and adhere to all real estate board, industry and government rules and legislation.
  • Complete a comprehensive audit on all sales transactions and contracts to ensure validity, enforceability, and compliance
  • Perform ongoing sales transaction monitoring and review unusual activities with the Managing Broker
  • Identifies opportunities, assist in developing/implementing and facilitating training pertaining to PCMLTFA
  • Assist the Compliance Officer in monitoring compliance matters relating to PCMLTFA
  • Assist agents in submitting various AML/TF and suspicious activity reports to FINTRAC
  • Maintains current knowledge of best practices, regulatory and legislative changes and market intelligence relating to the real estate industry

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the real estate industry, ideally in a presale environment
  • Must hold an active real estate license
  • Currently licensed as an Associate Broker or will be licensed as an Associate Broker prior to employment commencement

  • Able to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the real estate industry
  • Knowledge of all Fraser Valley Real Estate Board rules as well as other real estate organizations and government legislation
  • Understanding of PCMLTFA and AML/TF compliance requirements
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication and time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Adobe Suite, and CRM applications

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
