We are looking for an individual to serve three primary purposes: Social Media Management, Videogrpahy, and Graphic Design.

An ideal candidate for this position is eager to script and capture both video and image content for Rydel Roofing, and who wants to build upon their own portfolio. In addition, the individiaul in this position will be responsible for consistenlty posting the content they create. We are seeking someone that is self-driven, eager to perform and works effectively both independently and in a team.

The role will include a combination of direction-based design, as well as providing you with a space to explore your own creativity given the desired content.

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with other members of the team.
• Be proficient and own software required for video and photo editing, and graphic design.
• Maintain organization of all raw/finished files, providing Rydel with access to everything.
• Re-vamp existing social media presence.
• Proactively communicate with the team on the status of projects, and provide input based on your own experience.
• Able to develop the content, scripts and direct the videos appropriately.
• Use your own creative ability and style in the finished product.
• Access to a drone is seen as an asset, but not required.
• Be able to complete revisions as desired.
• Access to your own vehicle and be willing to shoot video content at a variety of locations based on the team’s schedule and their current jobs being worked on.

The Goal of the Content

• To be posted across our social media accounts
• Combination of both video and images, edited in a professional and high-quality manner
• Content to be both social media appropriate (15 seconds to 60-second clips), as well as website appropriate (longer style videos)
• Content should be able to convey the Rydel brand and what we do as a company (ie. individuals working hard, smiling, interacting with each other, workplace safety etc.)
• Be able to tell a story through the videos and images without the need for text.

Desired Content - Both Video & Images

• On-site of our team in their vehicles/outside of a client’s home prior to the job beginning (ie. posed shots of the crew in front of the house, or inside the vehicle with the window rolled down, crew pulling up to the job-site in vehicles etc.)
• On-site of our team at work (ie. unloading materials, initial job set up, prep of a roof, laying shingles, working with tools, throwing materials into dumpster, cleanup, working on ladders/roof with safety elements in place etc.)
• At the office, content of the team at work in the office (ie. exterior of the building, posed shots of the team in their respective offices, group shots, brief video tour through the office etc.)
• Before and after photos of ongoing and completed projects.
• YouTube series style videos that are focused around construction information, how-to projects and brand building.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON
