Our client, is looking for energetic, hardworking individuals to join our Laser cutting and forming team. Full time day for experienced CNC Laser Operator in our truck body division.

Job Description

• Set up and operation of CNC Co2 Laser
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine specifications to fulfill work orders
• Preform first-off and in-process inspections of parts produced
• Complete work order signoff and material inventory usage
• Experience using a variety of measuring instruments (general tolerance of +/- 015”)
• Experience with CAD software and/or Laser Programming software would bean asset
• Experience using Forklift/ tow motor and asset
• Experience using Jib Crane and vacuum lifts
• Follow quality control procedures
• Clean and lubricate equipment
• Maintain daily maintenance/inspection logs
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Shift

• Day shift M-F, Start at 6:00am (12 hour shift).
• Afternoon M-Thursday- Start at 3:pm

Skills

• Siemens CNC control experience
• Sigmanest programming software
• Understanding of various materials and cutting characteristics.
• Proven experience within the metal fabrication field
• Experience in using measuring devices (calipers, tape measure, square,
• protractor)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Deftness and attention to detail

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years proven experience
• 2 – 5 years Laser Operator experience (HK FL 3015 ideally)
• Good communication skills with regards to verbal, written and basic personal computer skills.
• Proficient in English
• Certification or relevant experience
• Experience with blue print reading preferred
• Experience in both steel and aluminum an asset

Salary: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
