Justice Services Branch (JSB) is responsible for policy development, law reform and justice transformation in the areas of administrative, civil, criminal and family law, human rights, and Indigenous justice. JSB provides direct family justice services through its Family Justice Services Division and Maintenance, Enforcement and Locate Services. JSB works with administrative tribunals, the courts, the legal professions, other ministries, and a range of community agencies and associations to increase access to justice.
The Administrative Assistant role provides a variety of office administrative, secretarial and financial support services for the managing director/Assistant Deputy Minister's offices and be available for branch administrative work overflow
Job Requirements:
- Secondary school graduation (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED).
- Six (6) months or more of administrative/clerical experience gained in an office environment.
- Experience typing, formatting, and proofreading a variety of documents and materials using desktop tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience managing an electronic calendar (e.g. booking meetings and appointments)
- Experience with records management.
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in the following:
- Experience booking/making travel arrangements.
- Experience applying ARCS/ORCS records classification system.
- Experience with CLIFF mail tracking system.
- Experience with the e-approval system.
- Experience with CAS iExpense program.
- Experience processing purchase and/or credit card reconciliation while ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to three (3) days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
