Our equipment is top in the industry including a bucket truck, 18” capacity chipper, 70ft knuckle boom with grapple, mini skid steer with grapple to name a few.There is always opportunity for career growth and development. We are currently seeking the following positions:

Arborist-foreman

Arborist-secondary climber

Responsibilities and Duties

Wilson Tree Care does it all! You will be doing general tree removals, emergency storm damage removals, pruning, hedge trimming, cable-bracing, tree planting, etc.

The typical work week is Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00 shift (end time can fluctuate based on the days work) During the busy season the work week may include some Saturday work. Our work yard is located in Ladner. Work begins right on time everyday, punctuality is a must!

Equipment and vehicle inspections/walk around are done on a daily basis before anything leaves the yard. Job site safety analysis to be performed with your crew on every site.

Maintenance is to be done on an as needed basis

All our crew must be able to adhere to all safety requirements regarding job site, machinery and equipment operations, personal safety gear and company policies. It is your responsibility to make sure these requirements are being followed by the crew at all times.

Must be able to lead a small crew effectively and safely while upholding our high standards yet still allowing for their continued skill development.

You will have direct contact with our customers. So a great attitude and impeccable manners are a definite necessity

Qualifications and Skills

Foreman Arborist must have:

Arborist certification(ISA) or similar industry training (ITA certification, etc)

3-5yrs + experience in climbing, removal and pruning

Confident in spurless climbing

Driver's License with clean abstract

Air brakes endorsement

Strong tree and shrub identification skills

Solid tree risk assessment skills (TRAQ would be an asset)

Impeccable skills to perform all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties as per work specifications.

Inspect and keep up on the general maintenance of equipment

Uphold our high standards in customer care

Lead a team well, good communication, and run a positive minded, productive crew.

Secondary climber must have :

1-3 yrs experience in climbing, removal and pruning

Experience using boom truck

Confident in spurless climbing

Have or willing to pursue ISA certification

Driver's License with clean abstract

Good tree and shrub identification skills

Ability to perform all required ground, climbing, and aerial lift duties as per work specifications

Experience with equipment maintenance

Learn, adhere to all safety requirements regarding job site, machinery and equipment operations, personal safety gear and company policies.

Uphold our high standards in customer care

Good communication skills
