Forma Steel is one of the largest manufacturers of steel roofing, siding and trim since 1994 in Fort Macleod, AB. Now is the time to join our Logistics operations in the role of Class 3 Driver.

This role is in Fort Macleod, AB in the heart of the Industrial area. We are ideally situated at the crossroads of Highway 2 & 3 for commuters in adjacent areas. Many team members live 40-60 km out of town and commute each day for work!

The schedule for Class 3 Driving is Monday-Friday, home every night, and off weekends and long weekends (STAT holidays, etc.).

Reports to: Logistics Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Conduct pre and post trip inspects on equipment and loads, reporting any deficiencies

- Operate and maintain trucks, trailers, and delivery equipment in a safe and professional manner

- Provide exceptional customer service

- Sort and unload products, delivering them to drop sites and lumber yards

- Verify correct product is delivered at every stop

- Maintain strong communication with both office, logistics, peers and customers.

Health and Safety:

- This role is situated in a class three vehicle of a manufacturing facility

- Ability to sit for long periods of time (8-10 hour shifts)

- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment

- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50-75 lbs. repetitively

- Ability to use hands to grasp, handle and feel

- Frequent stooping, bending, and stretching

- CAS work boots are REQUIRED while on the manufacturing floor as well as area designated PPE (earplugs, safety glasses, hi-vis vest etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Must have a minimum of 3 years, current, claims free experience driving trucks

- Must have a valid Class 3 OR Class a License with a clean 3-year commercial abstract dated not more than 30 days prior to interview

- Ability to work in a team environment

- Basic math skills

- Must have the ability to be alert while operating machinery

- Must be able to read and write
