What does the job entail?
  • Perform quality assurance testing of all manufactured products as per the requirements of the quality manual.
  • Oversee the instrumental measurement of colour and the accurate communication to production.
  • Be competent in all the QA procedures
  • Liaise with factory production manager and provide technical support regarding pigments, colour adjustments during manufacturing process.
  • Prepare samples for sample requisitions when requested.
  • Interpret and implement QA standards, in concert with Laboratory Standards, as set out.
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspection systems
  • Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of raw materials and manufactured goods to ensure finished product quality
  • Support on-site audits conducted by external providers
  • Assists in document management systems
  • Actively promotes the visions, mission and core values, as it pertains to the laboratory function.
  • Support ISO Management including making updates to documents, assisting in internal audits and record keeping
  • Work cohesively within a shared workspace
  • Maintain good time management to complete tasks daily
Qualifications
  • A Diploma or Degree in Chemistry
  • 3-6 years of related experience in a laboratory environment
  • Strong analytical skills supported with well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • A self-starter with proven experience in a role requiring decision making
  • Familiar with working with analytical instrumentation such as FTIR Spectroscopy, GCMS, TGA.
