Reporting to the Maintenance Personager, the Certified Millwright is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining all plant equipment.

Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components on machines.
• Provide regular and routine maintenance ensuring safety, quality, productivity standards
• Install, maintain, inspect and repair a variety of manufacturing equipment
• Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks
• Work around hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems
• Monitor day to day operations, prioritize work orders as needed and ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks
• Keep neat and accurate records of all aspects of maintenance. Clearly document and communicate tasks including a description of the repair and any follow up required.
• Keeps safety as a top priority and works diligently to ensure all safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

Required Qualifications Include, But Are Not Limited To:

• Industrial Electrician or a Dual licensed Electrician and Millwright
• General Mechanical Maintenance with minimum 1-3 years of experience.
• Must work well independently as well as in a team environment
• Able to carry out a variety of tasks with minimal direction
• Communicate effectively with management and fellow employees regarding issues, projects and timelines
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule. May be required to work nights, emergency call outs and weekends Overtime available.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe workplace
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of the role
• Knowledge of maintaining, inspecting and repairing hydraulic motors and valves
• Knowledge of maintaining conveyors, gear boxes and belting.
• Knowledge equipment tear down and reassembly
• Have the technical knowledge to undertake any assignment with or without direct supervision is essential
• Following food safety guidelines while performing maintenance on various machines.
• Candidate must have work permit or legally authorized to work in Canada
