Group information: The mandate of Procurement is to provide sourcing and contracting services utilizing disciplined governance to enable our client to effectively execute against its business priorities. Procurement is comprised of International, Technology and Corporate/Professional Services Sourcing which execute contracts for the supply of products and services used by our client with optimal balance of price, risk, quality and organizational impact. The Procurement team also provides support for our clients Vendor management programs and purchasing and procurement applications

The Candidate will Be Working with: Procurement team members and Project team members.

Daily Job Duties/Activities:

- As a Category Lead (Procurement Analyst) the contractor will manage and execute on end -to-end sourcing opportunities, as required, to drive cost savings and process efficiencies; and strong contract negotiation experience.

• This role is within the Canadian Wealth, Commercial Banking, Capital Markets & Infrastructure Procurement Team, and will focus on a broad range of spend categories.
• The contractor will execute and implement sourcing initiatives within the relevant expenditure categories.

How You’ll Succeed

Relationship Building

– By providing professional high-quality support to our clients business owners and the extended proposal development teams that could include representatives across the organization. You will liase and interact with internal stakeholders and suppliers as part of the daily management of your portfolio.

Communication

– You will interact on a regular basis with roles in the line of business up to the Senior Management level, for purposes of fulfilling those clients sourcing and contracting needs with suppliers. You will work closely with suppliers when implementing a sourcing strategy and work towards finalizing a sourcing deal with the supplier under a contract.

Negotiation strategy

– You demonstrate leadership in negotiation strategy alignment and contract negotiations, as well as securing of authorizations for agreement execution.

Administration

• Ensuring that business stakeholders and your partners in Procurement are equipped with accurate and timely information to make informed decisions.

What You Need To Know

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Haves:

• 4 Years' experience in a Procurement, Category Management role
• 4 years’ experience drafting contracts and working closely with LEGAL resources
• Experience in a highly regulated environment, must have experience working for a financial institution
• Must be a university/college graduate
• Experience negotiating SaaS/Application Solution Procurement contracts
• Procurement tools – SAP, Oracle, Coupa
