Casual Bus Driver Job at Masonville Manor Retirement Residence
JOB SUMMARY:
The Driver is responsible for the transportation of residents according to the established itinerary of the Lifestyle Consultant. They are also responsible for the safety of the residents and maintain the cleanliness of the bus. The Driver may be called upon to assist the Lifestyle Consultant in his/her daily job routines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Transports residents to scheduled places and assists residents when they are getting on or off the bus and when they cross the street when the bus is stopped to ensure their safety.
· Observes the speed limit and road signs.
· Ensures the maintenance of the bus such as filling the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, checking tire pressure, checking the oil and the cleanliness of the bus, both inside and out.
· Carries out, if needed, all related tasks in order to ensure the continuity and the quality of the services.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Appropriate provincial driving permit for a bus.
· 1-2 years of experience as a driver.
· Must have effective verbal and written English communication skills.
· Experience in customer service.
