Campground Manager Job at Santa's Muskoka Ridge Campground
Position: Manager, Santa’s Muskoka Ridge Campground
Located on the Muskoka River in Bracebridge, this 110 site campground has a mix of seasonal and transient camping. It is one of two campgrounds within the Santa’s Village group of properties. An on-site residence is provided and also serves as the campground office. This position is ideally suited to an person that is looking for seasonal employment (7+ month) and off-season freedom (4+ months).
Role Description:
Reporting to the SVL Holdings Inc CEO, this position is responsible for all aspects of the campground operation, including;
- Administer and maintain the on-line and on-site booking system
- Prepare revenue reports and submit deposits daily
- Prepare, submit and monitor annual operating and capital budgets and provide variance reports for each financial statement.
- Primary contact for customer service and troubleshooting
- Planning and delivering campground activities for guests
- Marketing efforts in conjunction with the CEO including social media, emails, sales databases and events (i.e. RV Shows)
- Management and enforcement of park rules
- Coordination of projects and park maintenance/upkeep of property including dock area
- Daily maintenance and testing of swimming pool and inspection of play structures
- Daily cleaning and regular maintenance of washroom
- Deep cleaning of rental units between guests (currently 4 units)
- Winterizing equipment and buildings at the end of the season
- Sales of vacant seasonal sites and broker on-site trailer sales
Candidate Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in hospitality and / or property management
- Sales and Marketing experience
- An understanding of water, electrical and septic system infrastructure an asset
