One of our major banking clients is looking for a C# / WPF developer (XAML, FIX Protocol & Financial Experience)
Length: 5 months contract with a possibility of extension
Location: Toronto, ON – Remote/Hybrid
ROLE MANDATE:
Full-stack intermediate C#/WPF developer with experience writing/maintaining Windows thick-client applications, ideally client-server applications in a financial setting.
· C#/WPF essential
· SQL server or general SQL database experience needed
· Knowledge of FIX protocol an asset
· Knowledge of some basic finance (particularly rates) desirable but not required.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
The developer will be helping to flesh out our electronic dealer-to-customer trading capabilities in CAD interest rate swaps and bonds, including the addition of new tradeable product types on multiple trading venues. Development work will consist of (non-exhaustively):
· Implementing new UI functionality for customer inquiry interaction for rates traders;
· Implementing new FIX protocol functionality for communicating with dealer-to-client trading venues;
· Analysis of data requirements and implementation of service components to furnish it;
· Customizing the UI based on trader feedback.
· The position reports into the Capital Markets front-office, with an opportunity to interact directly with traders on the desk in a lively environment. The team is very small and the work will be largely contained; independent work and the ability to work out requirements on the fly will be greatly valued.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS:
· WPF background and experience is a must have
· Flexible with location for exceptionally good candidates
· Candidate will be working with other 4 members in the team
· XAML tool is a must have
· Python knowledge is an asset
· API knowledge is an asset
· FIX protocol knowledge is an asset
· Financial Background is an asset.
