Hotel Belmont Vancouver - MGallery is currently seeking dynamic individuals to join our team. We are looking to fill Part-Time and Full-Time Bell Person / Service Express positions. Hotel Belmont Vancouver MGallery is an 82-room retro-modern boutique hotel, located at 654 Nelson Street, Downtown Vancouver. - Job Description *
 
The Service Express Insider touches all facets of the hotel and guest experience cycle by serving our guests and helping to maintain the overall security of the building.
- Responsibilities: *
 
 Act as a representative for the hotel, including but not limited to greeting and acknowledging every guest, extending a warm welcome, and acting as a first point of contact for concierge questions about the hotel and its surrounding attractions
 Conducts patrols, monitor security cameras and building access ensures compliance with hotel policies.
 Respond to building emergencies according to assigned protocols.
 Handling of baggage storage, pick up and deliveries
 Delivery of Food & Beverages from internal and external sources according to hotel’s room service standards and guest preferences to guest rooms.
 Delivery of miscellaneous items including but not limited to packages, housekeeping items, guest room amenities to guest rooms.
 Frequently clean, sanitize, and disinfect all high touch public areas, front office stationaries, furniture and fixtures.
 Ensure all guests, team members and visitors adhere to the face-covering policy at all times within the hotel’s interior premises.
 Ensure hotel exterior walls and grounds are kept clean and safe at all times via frequent removal of visible debris, snow and ice as required.
 Provide light maintenance and housekeeping duties as required
 Prompt response to incoming phone calls, texts and emails from external and internal sources. Provide relief to Guest Experience (front desk) team and all other departments as required.
 Act as Ambassador of the property at all times
 Load and unload bags into guest vehicles and tour buses
 Check on guest satisfaction and follows up on requests where possible and appropriate
 Ensures lobby, entrance, and parking lot are kept neat and tidy, in accordance with company standards.
 Perform regular security walkthrough of hotel and parking areas  Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel room types and their locations, hotel amenities, and the local entertainment scene
 Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information in the pass on log
 Additional duties, responsibilities, tasks, etc. may be given out/ assigned by the Guest Experience Manager and/or GM
 Must wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance
 Be able to move luggage or packages weighing up to 40lbs
Requirements:
 Grade 12 completion; Post Secondary Degree an asset
 Minimum one year of Hotel Front Office and/or Customer Service is preferred
 Available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
 Able to write effective emails and reports, and maintain accurate records.
 Possess understanding and passion for downtown entertainment scene
 An expert communicator who is able to listen effectively and communicate clearly in a friendly way to maintain guest satisfaction and engagement
 Experience with Choice Advantage PMS a definite asset
 Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
 The ability to speak additional languages is an asset

Salary: $18.00-$19.50 per hour
