The purpose of the position is to provide assistance related to the installation, operation, and maintenance of computer software application programs. Provides hands-on technical maintenance or walks users through a troubleshooting and resolution process. The position will act as a liaison between ITSS and the partnering department.

Duties will include:
 Troubleshooting system and application related issues in conjunction with the clients, ITSS staff, and external service providers as required using appropriate system tools;
 Maintaining detailed knowledge of the application, and related interfaces, and the configuration of such, by developing and maintaining application standards and guidelines, and accurate documentation;
 Liaising with the client, ITSS, vendors and external organizations and external service providers on an as needed basis ensuring that the system meets and/or exceeds standards/policies/procedure;
 Monitoring, supporting, configuring and administering the daily operations (including system patches) of the complex system, including but not limited to highly specific business modules;
 Developing, implementing, and executing test plans, including integration testing and assist with the development, implementation, and execution of User Acceptance Testing plans;
 Assisting in the planning and implementation of new and existing initiatives, and in the planning and organization activities involved with supporting the current infrastructure;
 Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
 University degree or College diploma in Computer Science (or a related discipline with major IT course work);
 Considerable related application support experience and knowledge of the field related to the supported system and other related information systems;
 Considerable experience with complex issues management, problem solving, innovative solution generation and root cause analysis;
 Considerable experience in incident tracking and management system and the practices that apply to problem and incident resolution;
 Experience with SQL and report writing tools and technologies (for example, Crystal Reports);
 Experience managing the expectations of a wide range of key stakeholders and target solution users while prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously;
 Experience with or knowledge of the complex system, including applications, modules, design, analytical and maintenance tools;
 Demonstrated equivalencies will be considered;
 Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
 Excellent analytical and decision-making skills; verbal and written communications skills; interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, consensus building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; manage time and stress pressures and display sound judgment;
 Applicants must have a good previous work and attendance record. The successful candidate must provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check prior to beginning employment; must have drivers license and vehicle;

Other Qualifications:
 Experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership role would be an asset;
 Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies; also with large-scale organizational change initiatives would be an asset;
 Experience with gathering user requirements, tools and phases of user requirements life cycles would be an asset;
 Course work in Change Management and Project Management will be considered an asset.
