Anchor Program Family Facilitator

We are searching for an experienced, educated, confident and creative Anchor Program（Addressing the Needs of Children through Observation and Response） Facilitator to work with our families in a unique program.

Facility

The Vancouver Child Study Centre (VCSC) is a well-established and well-regarded play-based preschool, inspired by and dedicated to the Reggio philosophy. Our unique offering for two-year-olds and their parents is filmed live and also based in the Reggio-inspired philosophy. We are strongly supported by our families and board.

Qualifications

● Masters of Education

● Criminal record clearance

● Valid first aid certificate

Experience and Attributes
Understanding of Reggio Emilia philosophy.

Key Responsibilities –Classroom and Operational
The Parent Facilitator shall facilitate discussions and provide guided observations of the Anchor classes using live video transmission. The goal of the Anchor program is to increase the understanding of children and to better appreciate developmental stages and individual differences.
Facilitating 1:1 observations and briefings of child throughout the year with maximum of 9 children.

● Vancouver – Oakridge area

Employment Terms

● Part-time - Toddler Program 8:30am-2:00pm 5.5hrs/week, Friday’s Only)

Position Start Date

● September 1 2023.

Hours of Work

● Anchor Program runs on Fridays AM Class 9:10am-10:55am PM Class 11:30am-1:15pm. 3.5 hours direct work with families and 2 hours preparation time.

Salary & Benefits

● $35-40 per hour.
