Job Description
AltaGas - Plant Operator, Slave Lake
Plant Operator for our Hydrocarbon Fractionation Plant in Slave Lake, Alberta. The successful candidate will work a seven on – seven off rotation schedule, 12 hours per shift including days and nights. This is not a camp based position.
You will:

Operate and maintain the plant and associated equipment in a safe, effective and productive manner while working as part of the operating team under the supervision of a lead operator

Prepare multiple types of safe work permits to contractors and ready work areas for maintenance including lockout / tagout of equipment

Perform process and equipment condition monitoring, complete area operations records such as routine readings, volume balances, log sheets, carseal control documentation, P&ID updates
-
Participate in the development, review and revision of Safe Operating Procedures, follow safe operating and chemical handling procedures and ensure assets are operated according to design

Assist with the bulk loading and unloading of trucks transporting our fluids

Pipeline maintenance including pigging
You have:

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
-
Good communication
-
Advanced computer skills including MS Office
-
Advanced math skills
-
Must be able to work well in a team or individual environment
-
Power engineering certification would be an asset
Where you’ll be working:
Enerchem International Inc. has been in operation, manufacturing hydrocarbon based fluids, for 30 years in Western Canada. Enerchem has two facilities; the Slave Lake plant, which is the northern-most production facility of refined products in Western Canada, and another production facility situated near Sundre, Alberta.
