We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to the Director General to support our Real Property Planning and Management Branch. The Administrative Assistant would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
The Administrative Assistant plays an important role in the team, he/she excels at planning, organizing, and delivering tasks at hand and assisting the management team in achieving its objectives. The Administrative Assistant is highly detail-oriented, flexible and organized with a demonstrated ability to work with sensitive, critical and confidential matters. He/she has to use sound judgment and tact to determine appropriate course of action for all inquiries and is able to manage priorities effectively.
RPPM manages over 181 buildings on 24 sites across Canada which results in a diverse workforce of more than 220 employees across three Directorates. The challenges and responsibilities faced by our Administrative Assistant are as varied as we are. Reporting directly to the Director General, the Administrative Assistant enhances the effectiveness of the Director General and management team by providing professional, multi-skilled and effective administrative support. He/She is the first line of contact with internal and external clients, responding to requests of a complex and confidential nature.

Education
Successful completion of Secondary School according to provincial standards.

Experience
- Significant* experience in providing administrative support services at a senior management level- including managing priorities of a busy executive office and managing the workload of other Administrative Assistants.
- Significant* experience in drafting and proofreading minutes, memos and letters.
- Significant* experience with SAP for generating reports, time entry, provide advice re: coding of OT, standby, call back etc.
- Significant* experience with MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Significant* experience with arranging meetings, making travel arrangements and processing claims, creating and maintaining files and data entry.

- Knowledge of office administration procedures and practices such as arranging meetings; making travel arrangements; processing travel claims and preparing correspondence.
- Ability to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to research, analyze and synthesize information from various sources;
- Ability to draft correspondence, to proof-read and edit documents and correspondence;
- Ability to review sensitive items and information to determine the most appropriate course of action.

Relocation
Relocation assistance will be determined in accordance with the NRC's directives.
Compensation
From $51,653 to $65,684 per annum.
In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
