George Wakefield Foods Inc. is a distributor of fresh and frozen food products. Our diverse product lines contain everything from fruit juice, milk, and cheese, to our main product line of ice cream. We have operations spanning from Saskatchewan to Ontario, with our head office located in Winnipeg, MB.
Title: Accounts Receivable Administrator

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily bank deposits
- Active involvement with account reconciliation reviews & in-depth analysis of customer accounts
- Post and apply incoming payments to customer accounts
- Investigate payment discrepancies by effectively communicating with customers
- Prioritize regular customer collections and reconcile regular customer accounts
- Make calls on delinquent customer accounts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Employment requirements:
- Basic accounting skills
- Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Professional demeanor
- Analytical and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and closely within a positive team environment
- Proven English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Team oriented with positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Will need to pass a criminal record check
- Must be authorized to work in Canada
The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage a variety of tasks, have good problem solving, planning, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of integrity. Hands-on working knowledge of Great Plains software would be considered an asset.
