Job Summary

Our Edmonton, AB branch is currently seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position offers many opportunities to grow within our organization.

Main Responsibilities:

• Receive & tag incoming products accurately and in a timely manner
• Ship outgoing products accordingly (ie. include MSDS, obtain freight quotes)
• Complete waybills and Work Orders accurately
• Purchase of all required shipping supplies
• Maintain goods received & store in yard
• Maintain shipping / receiving records
• Track orders
• Maintain shop housekeeping
• Assist slitter when required
• Deliver or pick up goods when necessary
• Ensure vehicles, warehouse and yard are secured at end of each day
• Create a positive work environment for yourself and others
• Report any non-compliance issues to the Branch Manager
• Help maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Help maintain inventory levels on all stocked products in the warehouse
• Filling work orders (i.e.. slitting of conveyor belting for jobs, slitting of conveyor belting for stock, slitting of rubber stock)
• Help to maintain good mechanical condition of slitter
• Place all new inventory in its correct spot in the warehouse after proper paperwork and checks are completed by the receiver
• Deliver all completed shop work orders to supervisors for inspection

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of computers and MS office
• Knowledge of and experience with Sage SAP system a strong asset
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Excellent work ethic ,self-motivated, willing to work extra hours/emergency hours if needed
• 3+ years shipper/receiver experience
• Forklift certification ;
• WHMIS certification
• Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Capable of lifting up to 50lbs as part of requirement in order to perform job duties that involve heavy lifting
• include experience in ERP systems, including MAS, since they will be physically receiving as well as digitally receiving.
