Retail Store Associate Job at Anita's Organic Grain & Flour Mill Ltd
The Retail Store Associate is responsible for assisting customers in selecting the right product for their baking needs, helping grow our retail store sales, and managing store inventory through purchasing, stocking, counting, shipping, and receiving.
We are looking for a great team player to work in our Retail Store here in Chilliwack, BC. The position is for 40 hours per week and will include Saturdays and some statutory holidays. Shift times would vary but would land between an 7am start and 5pm finish. Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Answer phone calls and emails regarding customer orders and inquiries
- Assist in all store operations including merchandising, presentation, maintenance, and administration
- Assist customers by answering questions, educating on our products, locating inventory, and loading in vehicle when necessary
- Manage inventory by conducting monthly counts, generating sales reports, fixing broken bags, returning broken bags, placing supplier orders, shipping, and receiving
- Fill customer orders including ordering, picking, packing, and shipping
- Stock shelves and keep the back room clean and organized
- Support sales floor staff
- Maintain and support company values, culture, and policies
- Maintain a positive work environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly
We are looking for someone with great customer service skills, a keen interest in baking and the organic way of life. If you have a willingness to learn, are motivated and a self starter, we want to hear from you.
Starting wage range is $18.00- 20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Wage raises happen in correspondance with 6-month performance reviews and are at the discretion of the General Manager.
