PROJECT SUPERVISORS

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking work associated with one or multiple projects.

· Review the plans and specifications of the work.

· Plan, and schedule for execution of the work.

· Coordinate resources and track progress to ensure the job progresses in accordance with the plan.

· Prepare reports outlining the current progress, work remaining, and work completed.

· Coordinate the activities of third party subcontractors on the worksite.

· Coordinate the ordering and delivery of Materials required on the worksite

· Complete change order and Request for information forms as required

· Ensure the quality of work is completed at high standards

· Create a safe and collaborative work environment

QUALIFICATIONS

· Prior Experience in construction or equivalent education

· Project Management – 1 year preferred

· Journeyman certificate or equivalent trade experience

· Valid Class 5 licence required with an acceptable Driver’s Abstract

· Current Safety Certifications: CSTS2020, H2S Alive, WHMIS, First Aid, other as required per project

SKILLS

· Computer - including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience w Blue Beam and Navis Works an asset.

· Comprehension - read and understand construction drawings, standards and specifications

· Communication – clear communication with employee groups and management

· Time Management – handle multiple priorities

· Detail Oriented – ensure work is accurate and thorough

· Reliable – consistently show up for work

· Problem Solver – determine appropriate solutions

· Adaptable – change with priorities and timelines

KNOWLEDGE

· Mechanical construction process

· Project controls, estimation and contract management

· Cost controls

· Occupational Health and Safety Legislation, Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

· Sit for extended periods of time

· Stand for extended periods of time

· Work outdoors in changing elements

· Compensation relative to qualifications and experience
