Successful candidates will join a great team, providing support to both internal workshop and external customers by phone or in person through sales of parts in accordance with identified customer needs and availability of parts to generate sales and profit for the dealership.

What you bring to the table:

  • Assists parts customers in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Informs customers of related part requirements and specials.
  • Answers customer questions, providing price quotes and other pertinent parts information.
  • Provides high level of service to both internal and external customers.
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock. Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Receives and inspects incoming shipments for correct quantity and quality of materials.
  • Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
  • Processes invoices for payments and maintains proper records.
  • Notifies the customer when special ordered parts have been received & follows up on back-ordered parts.
  • Maintains knowledge of pricing, changes in parts, and technical service bulletins through collaboration with sales and other company staff.
  • Performs cycle counts and inventory maintenance.
  • Records lost sales within DMS system per department guidelines and follows up on open quotes in order to drive additional potential parts sales
  • Assists in setting up orders for delivery or pick-up.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by parts manager (i.e., inventory cycle counts).

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum education of High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Must possess a current and valid class 5 drivers license, with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment while providing a superior customer service experience & excellent phone etiquette skill are essential.
  • Ability to proficiently navigate through websites and look up parts.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance and move throughout warehouse to obtain parts.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Must be able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities and be responsive and flexible to best serve the issue at hand.
  • Excellent organizational skills & strong attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of automotive parts and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred Qualifications (but not required)

  • 2 years of experience in an automotive or truck parts warehouse, repair center, dealership, or similar facility highly preferred.
  • DMS system experience highly preferred (examples: CDK, Karmak, DSI, ADP, etc).
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn the inventory system.
  • Proficiency with Online Parts Catalog & Ecommerce.
  • Knowledge of dealer and fleet maintenance procedures and systems.
  • Working knowledge of supplier/vendor warranty policies.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $36.00-$37.00 per hour
