We are looking for a Warehouse Management System Supervisor for our Contract Logistics division based in Mississauga.

Your Role

You will be accountable for the performance of direct reports. Reporting and overseeing the daily reports of both Bell and Pharma clients within the site will also be within the responsibilities of the role. You will set SMART goals and projects to achieve individual, Distribution Centre, and divisional results; support employee engagement/retention initiatives, succession planning within the Distribution Centre; Collaborate with Senior Management to ensure efficient, standardized and 'best in class' logistics reporting & operations.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of warehouse applications as a SME front-end user
• Consolidate customer orders into pick lists (Wave coordination)
• Customer-specific computer processes (IE. Cell phone activation procedures)
• WMS inventory analysis
• Support and train warehouse employees on the use of relevant warehouse applications and processes
• Able to leverage knowledge of daily warehouse workflow in combination with warehouse applications to increase productivity
• 1st tier warehouse application troubleshooting
• Liaison between warehouse employees and IT Superusers
• With areas of technical proficiency, seek opportunities to increase productivity and accuracy and reduce waste
• Communicate with carriers
• Communicate with customer and customer suppliers
• Provide updates on order inquiries
• Manage claims and investigation follow ups
• Manage service goals and reporting metrics.
• General administration task in supporting shipment document flow
• Accomplish tasks on customer systems
• Promote safe work environment and support EHS policies
• Work with Supervisor and Management team to enhance service levels
• Coordinate Shipments additional shipments with transport department
• Ability to manage high call and business process volumes
• Coordinate/data input details for client KPIs around transport services
• Pursue continuous improvement projects to guide increased productivity and service levels;
• Other responsibilities assigned by our company

Your Skills and Experiences

• 3+ years experience in Contract Logistics / 3PL / Distribution Centre / Warehouse environment
• 2+ years leadership / supervisory experience with direct reports
• Leadership / direct experience with distribution center processes: (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, returns, inventory, etc)
• Experience with warehouse operations and cost structures
• Knowledge of all applicable health and safety and employment standards legislation,
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and company production systems (document control, 5S, Lean or Six Sigma tools)
