Marketing Technology Specialist
On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Marketing Technology Specialist for a full-time permanent position in Calgary, AB. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between marketing and IT. You will work with the IT department to manage the firms marketing stack, as well as design and implement the future stack, while supporting the marketing department. You will provide marketing content and report on successes.

Marketing Technology Specialist - Main Responsibilities

• Own technology operations strategy and execution:
  • Connect with marketing leaders to understand marketing deliveries, data and overall needs to understand business requirements
  • Architect and update the overall marketing stack, adding new, integrating, consolidating or sundowning technology as needed, including CRM, email distribution, website CMS, social media, and marketing automation
  • Design, manage and train on internal workflows and processes
  • Research and recommend marketing technology products
  • Work within our team to identify and fill gaps in digital delivery, ensure data privacy and compliance, and assist with security reviews of marketing technology products
• Manage the marketing stack:
  • Manage technology vendor relationships and contracts
  • Train and support marketing staff on using marketing technology products
  • Operate marketing technology products as an administrator
  • Monitor data quality within marketing technology products
  • Develop reports for marketing staff that provide feedback on the effectiveness of marketing technology and marketing campaigns
  • Document marketing processes to aid with the deliverables associated with the marketing stack
  • Create or update style guidelines that adhere to professional standards for externally and internally facing applications
• Act as a conduit between the firm's marketing communications and IT teams to upgrade administer, and manage Sitecore, the firm's CMS, to ensure efficient marketing processes and effective marketing website solutions and automations.
• Work closely with internal programmer/developer to understand the depth and potential of the CMS system.
• Provide development, automation and personalization based on industry best practices to keep the Bennett Jones experience ahead of the curve.
• Help to develop websites, web apps and mobile apps with internal programmers and graphic designers to enhance and promote the firm's brand.

• Post-secondary education in computer science, data management or other IT-related discipline, marketing, or business administration
• Knowledge of Sitecore CMS and experience in administration of the platform, including campaigns, email marketing, data gathering and reporting
• Knowledge of LexisNexis InterAction, or similar CRM
• Experience with detailed website and social media analytics, campaign tracking and reporting
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JSON, XML
• Excellent technical skills and strong analytical abilities
• Experience with content delivery (email and social media marketing), promotional campaigns, website development, and marketing data and analytics collection and presentation
• Excellent communication skills, with strong emotional intelligence to empathize with and empower end-users
• Excellent organizational skills with incredible attention to detail
• The desire to embrace excellent customer service, addressing requests and questions with urgency and a dedication to client satisfaction
• Ability to learn quickly, experiment and manage priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
