Hospitality Lounge Associate:

Overall responsibility:

  • Display highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times within all food and beverage areas.
  • Takes orders for, serves food and beverages to guests in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
  • From hostess to housekeeping to service assistant to dish room staff, we all embody the hospitality service associate title at PPL.

Key Areas of Duties and Responsibility:

  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner.
  • Interact with customer at the Hostess desk (meet and greet them)
  • Work with FOH and BOH as and when needed.
  • Engage in lounge housekeeper task as and when needed.
  • Seat customer, present menus to them, service of water.
  • Take customer’s order; identifying customers' special dietary needs and special requests; transmit order to kitchen
  • Stay updated on current menu choices and specialties, etc. with the ability to make suggestions
  • Help customers select food and beverages; offering; suggesting; explaining the chef's specialties.
  • Assist with the cleaning, replenishing amenities and linens, and to ensure a clean and comfortable presentation for each guest.
  • Clean and disinfect, vacuum hallways, ensure back spaces are neat and tidy.
  • Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
  • Assist with special events at the VIP boardroom as and when needed.
  • Follow sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary
  • Report all concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, health and safety, security or suspicious circumstances (including smells/sights and sound)

Qualities & Requirements:

  • Serving It Right (SIR) Certificate
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Previous hospitality and server experience as an asset
  • A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Pass Airport Security Clearance Check; holding a valid airport ID as an asset
  • Smart Serve Certificate
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Good communication skills, including verbal and writing skills
  • Good organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize
  • Positive attitude and Self-motivated
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • High school graduate.

WHATS IN IT FOR ME:

  • If you start or finish duty between 2400 hours and 0530 hours are entitled to an Odd Hours

Allowance of CAD 0.50 per hour.

  • If your attendance is up to company's standard, you are entitled to an Attendance Incentive of

CAD 0.50 per hour
