JOB DETAILS

  • Kearl Lake
  • 14/14 Fly in/ Fly out
  • 2000 hours needed on 2 out of 3 following equipment Excavator, Dozer, Haul Truck

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to proficiently operate heavy equipment, graders, dozers, loaders, rock trucks, excavators in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances, identify defects in heavy-duty equipment, communicate any unsafe conditions, incidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction and reporting
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work
  • Perform pre-and post-trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
  • Accurate completion of work orders and safety documentation
  • Adhere to all company and client safe work practices and policies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate credentials and certifications
  • 5 years + progressive experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator - Loaders, Dozers, Graders, Excavators, Rock trucks, and other pieces of heavy equipment
  • Excellent understanding of equipment safety and work practices
  • Knowledge and firm understanding of equipment maintenance and storage
  • Previous experience in road construction and maintenance techniques
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Required Tickets: CSO/BSO, WHMIS, CSTS, Ground Disturbance II, H2S Alive, TDG and First Aid
