· Job duties:

o Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food for the restaurant services that include dining in, take-out and delivery

o Clean kitchen and work area

o Oversee kitchen operations

o Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

o May set up and prepare buffets and catering

o Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies

o Pick- up food and other supplies

o May do delivery of food or catering

o May train kitchen staff.

· Wage: CAD 32.01 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week

· Skills requirements:

o Driver’s licence

o Able to live in a remote isolated Arctic community

· Required education:

o Completion of secondary school is preferred but not required.

o Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety or several years of commercial cooking experience is preferred but not required.

Required work experience: Minimum 3 years of previous work experience in a restaurant with food preparation.
