BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions is seeking a passionate and driven General Laborer / Filter Service Tech. In this permanent position, you are responsible for the regular service, preventative maintenance and replacement of HVAC air filters for a variety of industrial sites in the Fort McMurray area.

BGE Indoor Air Quality is looking for a General Labour/Filter Service Technician.

Our ideal candidate would live in Fort McMurray. This role is consistent Monday-Friday a 50 hours work week, 8 AM - 6 PM.

This role is also eligible for a $2000 retention bonus after 18 months and a starting wage of $28.00/hour for a 50 Hour workweek.

What You’ll Do:

• Inspect and change air filters in HVAC units
• Complete the required documentation for each job
• Perform repairs and other related duties associated with changing air filters in air handling units
• Follow our safety program and our clients’ on-site rules and regulations
• Occasional work performing duct cleaning duties may be required and would result in extra overtime potential

Physical Requirements:
Climbing ladders (be comfortable with heights); working in confined spaces; lifting up to 23 Kg (50lbs); and working in extreme temperatures and/or dusty environments

Hours of Work:
10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional work on Saturdays. Fridays and Saturdays are paid out with overtime.

What You Bring:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol test
• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license (non-GDL), clean driver’s abstract, and three years of insured driving history
• Mechanically inclined with strong organizational & problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment and independently with safety as a priority
• Personable with good English communication skills, both verbal and written
• BSO (Basic Safety Orientation) certification required
• Able to provide proof of full Covid-19 vaccination
• Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
